Workshop presenters

Workshops are the heartbeat of Recharge. Thank you for exploring an invitation to be a presenter at Recharge Conference.

how it works

For Recharge Conference, we are asking presenters to:

  1. Prepare a 55-minute workshop

  2. Incorporate at least 20 minutes of interactivity¹

  3. Spread the word about Recharge

¹ this can be all at once, such as Q&A at the end, or spread throughout the workshop, such as "talk to your neighbor" questions. Attendees frequently rate interactive portions the highest and most useful part of workshops.

What we’re looking for

Practical advice. Attendees should leave with something they can try the very next time they lead their group. Focus on practical ideas that make people says, “Oh, yeah. I could do that!”

Encouragement. Ministry is hard work, and every leader could use a morale boost. Take time to remind attendees why their work matters and fill their tank so they can keep up the good fight.

Interaction. We retain 10x more information when we interact and discuss a topic compared to just hearing it. By including interaction you increase the value of your workshop.

Things to keep in mind

Recharge is majority volunteers. Churches of all sizes attend Recharge, from large churches with many volunteers to smaller churches with no paid staff. In both situation, the majority of attendees are volunteers.

Recharge is multi-denominational. Please be aware of an refrain from using jargon, phrases, or images that may not make sense to a person from a different denomination.

Recharge strives to be apolitical. In order to create a welcoming environment across denominational positions, we request you refrain from advocating a political position in your speaking or including the use illustrations that clearly imply a position.
