Josh is one of the leading voices in youth ministry with 25+ years of experience in the trenches and is currently the junior high pastor at Mariners Church in Irvine, CA.
He served for 13 years at Saddleback Church as the High School Pastor under the leadership of Rick Warren.
He's also the co-founder of DownloadYouthMinistry.com and hosts a 400+ episode youth ministry podcast with Doug Fields.
He's created more than 50 youth ministry resources and authored several books. Josh and his wife Angela have 4 teenagers of their own.

After 30+ years of nextgen work, Dr. Ken is balding in his hairline but still bold in his faith.
Ken is the NextGen Pastor at Wooddale Church, a ministry professor, and a prolific author. Ken is the “Blue Letters Editor” of the Award-winning Jesus-Centered Bible, and has written numerous resources like Grow Down, the Bible Trivia Devotional, and the Make a Difference Youth Bible.
He also has several Chuck-Taylors, a dog whose middle name is Doofenschmirtz, and an enjoyable life in Minnesota with his brilliantly witty and slightly freezing family.
Recharge Conference begins and ends with keynote sessions that bring nationally-recognized speakers to bookend an incredible day of practical training.
These mains sessions also include worship, giveaways, and all sorts of fun. Hundreds of ministry workers laughing, singing, and connecting to their calling, together. That’s a Recharge Main Session.

The Cost of Leader Fatigue
Exhaustion is a constant threat to those sharing their faith with the next generation. Among volunteers and church staff:
75% report being “extremely stressed” or “highly stressed”
90% feel fatigued and worn out every week
91% have experienced some form of burnout in ministry
44% do not take a regular day off
