Your journey as lead follower

Luke Trouten
Recharge Ministries

Most ministry workers are better at caring for their students than caring for themselves. But your growth as a leader is essential to the health of the ministry you are leading. When you grow, your ministry grows. It is key to recall that you are called to be a follower first. When we focus more on leading than following we are likely to end up down the wrong path.

About the Presenter:

Luke is the director of Recharge Conference. He has been a leader in youth ministry settings for over 20 years, serving in urban, suburban, and rural settings. Following his own burnout in ministry, he is passionate about creating space for local church leaders to focus on their own souls. When leaders learn to be more efficient, through tips and tools, they can create margin for their own growth. Luke and his wife live in South Minneapolis, where they both work for a faith-based community development organization.
